Moving to Noxtua NextGen: for admins

Overview

Noxtua NextGen is the new Noxtua app. The app you use today is now called Noxtua Classic. You decide when your organization moves to Noxtua NextGen:

1. Try NextGen yourself. Your members won't see anything yet.

2. Invite all members with one click.

3. Everyone switches when they're ready by making NextGen their default.

Both apps remain available until Noxtua Classic is switched off. Everyone signs in with their current Noxtua account. No new password is required.

Who can do what

One admin's invitation covers the entire organization.

Don't see the banner in Noxtua Classic? Your market's move may not have started yet. Contact your Noxtua account team.

How to set it up

1. Try NextGen

1. In Noxtua Classic, find the banner at the top: Meet Noxtua NextGen.

   

2. Click Learn more, then Try Noxtua NextGen.

   

2. Export your data (optional)

If you have data to export, you'll be offered a copy before NextGen opens.

• Download & open Noxtua NextGen: the download starts in Noxtua Classic, and NextGen opens in a new tab.

• Skip & open Noxtua NextGen: you can export later under Settings › Data Export.

3. Invite all members

1. In NextGen, open an empty chat. The banner reads Your organization can move to Noxtua NextGen.

   

2. Click Invite all members, then confirm.

   

Did you close the banner? Use the card at the bottom of the sidebar instead.

4. Make NextGen your default

1. The banner now says Make it your default. Click Make default.

   

2. Confirm. From now on, opening Noxtua Classic will take you to NextGen.

   

Opening Noxtua Classic after the switch

After you set NextGen as your default, Noxtua Classic remains available for as long as it's offered:

1. In NextGen, open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.

2. Click Open Noxtua Classic. It opens in a new tab.

You can work in Noxtua Classic until you sign in again. Your next sign-in will take you back to NextGen.

To go back to NextGen right away, open the account menu in Noxtua Classic and click Noxtua NextGen.

Nothing you do in one app appears in the other. For example, a chat started in Noxtua Classic stays there.

What your members see

• At their next sign-in, a banner in Noxtua Classic says Your organization has moved. It can take up to 5 minutes to arrive.

• They choose Move now or Move later. No one is moved automatically.

• Noxtua doesn't email them, so tell your team it's coming.

• Their chats, projects, and templates stay in Noxtua Classic. They can export a copy.

Good to know

• The invitation can't be withdrawn in the app. Only your Noxtua account team can withdraw it. If they do, everyone goes back to Noxtua Classic at their next sign-in.

• NextGen starts with a clean slate. If there are chats or projects in Noxtua Classic you’d like to keep, export them before Classic is switched off.

FAQ

I opened NextGen from a bookmark and ended up in Noxtua Classic. Until you make NextGen your default, open it from the banner in Noxtua Classic.

My members don't see the banner. Wait 5 minutes, then ask them to sign out and sign in again.

My session expired in NextGen, and I landed in Noxtua Classic. That's expected until NextGen is your default. Open it from the banner again.

I see a "Continue to Noxtua Classic" link. Click it, then open NextGen from the banner.

Nobody in our organization sees a banner, but we can use both apps. Your organization has early access. There's nothing to do.
