Introduction
You have logged in to Noxtua and see an empty chat field, but you are unsure what to ask or which feature fits your daily work. This article maps the jobs legal professionals do every day to the Noxtua feature that handles them. By the end, you will know where to start for research, document review, drafting, and recurring work, and you will have run your first task.
What you need
A Noxtua account. You log in at app.noxtua.com with your invitation email, your Tenant ID, or your legal publisher account (for example, beck-online). See Logging in.
A supported desktop browser. Noxtua runs in the browser; mobile devices are not supported.
No special role. Every feature in this article is available to all users with app access. The legal sources you can research depend on the jurisdictions your organization has licensed.
Find the right feature for your task
Start from the job you need done.
Research a legal question
Get an answer that rests on the law. Ask a question in the chat, and Noxtua searches your jurisdiction's legal sources: legislation, court decisions, commentary, journal articles, and soft law. It traces references from one source to another, for example, from a decision to the norms it construes.
Why it matters: Every statement carries a citation marker. Click it to open the exact passage, so you can verify the answer in seconds.
How to do it: Select your market in the Jurisdiction selector, type your question, and press Enter. See Research with Noxtua.
Review and analyze your documents
Hand Noxtua a contract, a filing, or a bundle of emails and ask about it. Noxtua reads short documents in full and long ones page by page, and it cites the passages it relies on. You can also test your document against the law in one question.
Why it matters: You get to the relevant clause in a 200-page document without reading it end to end, and each finding links back to the page.
How to do it: click + (Add files, skills and more) or type @, choose Upload from computer, then refer to the file in your question, for example, @"Lease.pdf". Noxtua accepts PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, text, images, and scans, and emails (.msg, .eml), up to 100 MB per file. See Upload file limits.
Draft and edit documents
Let Noxtua write or revise a document, then decide on each change. Word documents open in the editor beside the chat. When Noxtua edits them, its changes appear as tracked suggestions that you can Accept or Reject one by one or all at once.
Why it matters: You stay in control of every word and research and edit in one place.
How to do it: upload a Word file or ask Noxtua for a draft, for example, a memo or a contract clause. Open the document card, review the suggestions in the Review tab, then use Download or Save to project files.
Organize a matter in a project
Keep the chats, files, and background for one matter in one place. A project holds its chats and project files. Anything you add to Project knowledge is read in every chat of that project.
Why it matters: You don't have to re-upload the same documents for every question, and project chats are retained as long as the project is in use.
How to do it: Create a project in the sidebar, upload your files, then start chats within it. To move an existing chat, use Add to project in the chat's menu.
Automate recurring work with skills
Teach Noxtua how you work once. A skill is a saved routine with instructions, such as your contract review checklist or your deadline rules. Noxtua uses it whenever it fits, across every project.
Why it matters: You stop repeating the same instructions, and the results consistently meet your standards.
How to do it: Open Skills, choose Add skill, specify when Noxtua should use it, and write the steps as you'd explain them to a new colleague. You can also dictate a skill or insert one into a message with @.
